Bring physical SoundTouch Presets back.
Server Migration moves a compatible SoundTouch system from the discontinued Bose cloud configuration to Better ST Server. Afterward, buttons 1–6 can start content saved through Better ST without requiring your phone.

Complete migration separately for every speaker that should use restored Presets.

What Server Migration changes
Migration updates the server configuration used by the SoundTouch system for the capabilities Better ST Server provides. It is more than a visual setting inside the app, so review the steps before starting.
Better ST uses a random identifier instead of a Better ST account. The server receives the operational device and Preset information needed to start saved content and synchronize Presets and Recents.
Prepare the speaker and network
Open Better ST on the same Wi-Fi network as the speaker and make sure the system is discovered normally before starting. Keep the speaker powered throughout the process.
- Use the current Better ST version from the App Store
- Confirm the SoundTouch model and installed firmware version
- Avoid guest Wi-Fi or network isolation between the phone and speaker
- Migrate one system at a time and wait for the completed state
Migrate and test each system
In Better ST, open Settings, select the device, and start Server Migration. Follow the in-app status until the migration is complete.
Start a radio station or Mixtape, save it to one of the physical buttons 1–6, then press that button on the speaker to confirm it can start the saved content directly.
Model-specific notes
SoundTouch 10, 20, 30, and 300 series systems are generally the most straightforward. Wave and CineMate systems can need extra recovery steps because of their hardware design.
- A Wave system may need to be switched to AUX or SoundTouch mode before a physical Preset works.
- If a Wave or CineMate system behaves unexpectedly, power-cycle it before considering a factory reset and fresh migration.
- The exact settings exposed by Better ST still depend on the model and firmware.
